What happened with the engine? I didn't see you at mitp??
Not running, can't decide whether to tow start or strip it AGAIN just to make sure every things ok.
DId you get to MITP in yours.......

how tight are we talking??? does a socket and ratchet turn it over if you stick it on the end of the crank?
just ! on the bench, I have never had this problem before...

No, didn't quite make it. Could probably have made it if we worked late on sat night, but wouldn't have been able to Mot it. Should easily have it mot'd this week. Ideally you should have turned it over after fitting bits at different stages, would have picked the problem up sooner.
i didn't just throw it alltogether LOL..... I did check it , did turn over in all stages on the bench, admit that it needed a torque wrench to turn it ,but it did turn, if you put it in gear and turn the key it will move the wheels , so I am happy that the engine is not jamming on the gearbox, also if you depress the clutch the car will roll while in gear so I know the gearbox is free.

I had a problem with one of mine I rebuilt recently were it would turn over freely by had while be assembled, but if left for any length of time it would seize up or be very tight to turn over. Turned out after pulling it apart that one of the bearing shells was not quite seating correctly.
