got the ring compressor back, now all pistons are in and and rods bolted up..

sure thing James , should be a bit quicker than it was originally with the bores sorted .

been out for an hour or so tonight, fitted the cam chain and cover, may
fit the head on tomorrow, or the clutch housing , spoilt for choice....

went work today, 7 untill 12 , first time in ages i've been in work on a Saturday.
When I got home decided to finish laying the blocks around my drive ready for some
more mill waste. Then I had an hour in the garage and fitted the head to the block.
All ready to fit in the car now....

This afternoon adjusted the rocker clearances and fitted some ancilleries, all
ready to be fitted once I get hold of the engine hoist / crane again..

now fitted the radiator to the engine and gave it a new coat
of paint , I also sanded down the subframe brace bars and gave them
a few coats of etch primer and then red enamel..



just need a hoist to drop the engine in now....

This afternoon done a bit more on the Min, changed the o/s wheel bearing as
I'm sure it was beginning to rumble when I last drove it. LOL
Also decided to look at my brake discs, they are jonspeed semi drilled / grooved.
I have noticed the grooves are beginning to fill up with rust .



So I cleaned up the grooves and decided instead of just cleaning the semi drilled
holes I decided to drill them through , they look much better and they may even
work better if i'm lucky, heres what they are like.



Picking up an engine crane tomorrow, so hopefully engine in by Sunday evening..

while waiting for confirmation of what time I could pick up the engine hoist
I decided to attack my rocker cover ;

sanded down



etch primed



painted red to contrast with the black block



picked the hoist up , engine ready to drop in.



all fitted now ,but started to rain so no pic, hopefully should get it
running tomorrow if all goes to plan.....

connected the engine today , but still not turning over fast enough to start,
going to borrow a booster starter from work if that don't work i'll have
to tow start it.

I'm ok thank you, not been to many mini shows this year as I'm reet busy like, how are you sir? And no, I gave up haha, we're going to buy some new stuff and I definitely won't be ordering more of them haha, I wonder if I totted up how much time all of us spent at shows trying to put them down if it'd amount to days.
