found that the main reason for the bad oil leak was the gear selector oil seal had
come out and was just hanging there LOL

well Ratty's sorted......... had no spark at the points, so had to trace the fault, power at fuse box, power
at white wire to + coil, power at - coil terminal, power at w/blk wire to point fly lead but no power
at the points ? took the condenser out and replaced the fly lead then re-fitted, yippee spark at points.
still wouldn't fire, checked the rocker gaps when no8 was down no1 was still not rocking? had to loosen all
the rocker screws by at least a couple of turns, makes me think that the old block had shorter cam followers
in it. well alls fine know and he's running again. :proud: seems to have more torque than the old engine, we'll see
how it goes.

undo the nut leave it on so it covers the thread, try tapping the pin out by hitting the
nut witha hammer, when the pin will not go any further use a pin punch or similar to
knock the pin free, you may have to work the arm off....

Thanks Very much i will give it a go tomorrow.

The bolt which attached the lower arm and the tie bar does it screw into
the tie bar as mine is stuck was going to try taping it out but didnt want to ruin the
tie bar if it had a thread going through it.

thanks
