Mate, ive spent the best part of 2 hours reading this and watching your videos. Serious, serious respect to you. I love the effort and outcome of this whole project. I think it needs a set of deep dish superlites though, just to compliment the arches. I had a 1275 rover mini cooper for my first car but due to a motorbike being on the wrong side of the road, it got written off. I cant wait to get back into the spirit of the mini once again! But being on a tight budget of a £500 and insisting on a 1275 im struggling lol. Hope to meet you one day in the future!

in that video (the linked one) is that your rev counter mounted on the top dash rail?

it looks like your idling at 2K rpm, and it doesnt seem to go round past 3 :S

Mmmm you noticed..... it does idle a bit high , but I'm having problems
with getting the tacho to read correctly, it won't read above
3.5k think it's got something to do with the pickup in the dizzy ( no points),
I've contacted Acewell who make the dash and they've gave me a couple of
things to try....

check that no screw in the faceplate have come loose, it sounds silly but mine wouldnt move past 2.5K and i thought it was a problem with the coil untill i noticed the was a screw vibrated loose and was phsycally stopping the needle going round

no dont take it as a bad thing, it means why would you care about the volume when it looks as great as it does

i wouldnt care if it was too loud or even painful to drive my car, id still drive it because i love it

I didn't know whether you thought it had been edited, no offence taken... It is noisy inside but it
sounds better than in the vid, the vid cam mic isn't too good with loud noises.LOL.

being inside is believing, it's quieter than it was when first on the road !!!
you have to shout when booting it...

I was in it one day after a while I thought to myself ' Mmm the car seems quiet, then I swallowed and my ears popped ,,
It was still loud....

Had to modify the twin su manifold as it fouled the
exhaust manifold



good old grinder

May fit the twins today or tomorrow

surprise how good my new phone camera is , the Samsung Tocco is miles
better than my old LG 5mp camera
