I will certainly keep an eye out for this car at any of the shows I attend in the future, I am sure it will look even better in the flesh.
I don't know what money you are getting in your "day job" but you should perhaps consider setting up a Mini body shop I am sure you will not be short of work.........

I have spent a good few hours going through this thread, I haven't read all of the replies as there are just too many but I have read everything that you (Camp Freddy) have written and I have read all your photos I would just like to say what a superb job you have done on this car, though I cant say I like everything you have done but the way you have been both fluid with the project and the standard to which you have worked a a real credit to you. Well done!!

Glad you like the 'Rat', I don't expect people to like all that I have done and appreciate your honesty,
I have considered doing mini work but I would need premises as my garage would not be big enough
for this, and neighbours are another consideration. Hope you get to see 'Ratty' at some shows if you
do say high !! He is an ongoing project , so he changes every week

just over an hour , took ratty out seems a bit better on
the front end but you can only see slight neg camber but I
have got to adjust the toe setting as it's toeing out now |
The 1.5 deg arms are 10mm longer than standard so I might
lengthen the old arms by 20mm this should give 3 deg neg camber,
and see what they look like Got nothing to loose as lengthening
is what was done before you could by longer arms and if it's too
much I can always change back to 1.5 deg....

hard board from the cabinet makers near work so I can
make up the door cards, also re-fitted the trim on the
steering wheel ( one of those jobs you keep meaning to do).

modified my lower suspention arms, I added 20mm to them.
When I got home I fitted them (in the rain), they have increased the camber
but I don't have enough adjustment on the steering rack to reduce the toe out
I'll hace to see if I can use a different rack (morris minor) or get some different steering arms.
Today I also received my new inlet manifold and linkage kit at work
Niiiice!!!

I took a coulpe of pics to show how much neg camber and toe out
there was...
camber
toe out
pic of the arm in situ
I'm going to get some more arms and lenghthen them by 15mm instead this
should be about right as these are 20mm longer and 1.5's are 10mm longer..
