well had a productive afternoon on Ratty!

took off rattys' eyes and found the new lens had different side lights,
they mounted were further down the light

Posted Image

the new side light bulb is seperate from the main bulb plug so I had to
fit terminals to the wires, went to fit the light and the side light bulb fouled
the adjuster bowl

Posted Image

so I to cut a slot in the adjuster bowl to allow a relief for the bulb holder and terminals

Posted Image

also sprayed the headlight retaining ring black to go with the bezel, a new
eye...

Posted Image

At work today also made a couple of brackets for the front number plate
as I have decided to mount it on the front valance

A shot of Rattys new look

Next job is to make a grill !!

Well after 1 entire night shift and 2 hours tonight, I have read this thread from start to finish -

Camp Freddy, it was a pleasure to see such amazing dedicated work...and I think the result is great you much be very proud.

Im doing very much the same amount of work at the moment but on an mg midget - dont ask why - I didnt have a mini at the time...although after a week I bought a C reg mayfair???!!! Oh well maybe the MOT failure in Jan will mean I will be forced to strip her down.

Once again - nice read, look forward to seeing her in the flesh at some point.

Jon
