well i'm a bit p****d off tonight, got my parcel from Minispares
today, the door bolts i received are UCF not UNC thread, so no
good, the boot rubber clips that cost £8 !!!! ,well i just couldn't
figure out how they fitted to the rubber??? so i ended up just glueing
the rubber to the body... which actually is a better fit :D
Managed to fit the door trim clips :)

Would that be the old type seal which mounts to the boot lid?
I just took mine of to replace it.

Basicly there is a small lip on the body side of the rubber which the widest bit of the clip sits into, and then the folded edge is pushed fold first into the holes on the boot lid arround the edge, then it stays (in theory).

Dash is looking great now!

Chris

yes, thats what your supposed to do in theory,,, but in practise it doesnt work too well
,so i've glued mine..

I first stuck mine where it should be on the boot but it wouldn't
close, so I took it off and stuck it around the boot opening on
the body.. now it closes fine, probably due to the internal hinges.

the wipers are still on the old wiper stalk until I get
the new switches, can still MOT it like it is..
Just want to get the speedo drive sorted if poss but
don't think it will matter if it isn't actually working as
long as it has got one, suppose I could butcher the
old one just so it's working.. :(

yeah it would be a pain, but I cant see it failing because all the rot has been cut out and replaced, and all the ball joints are new etc, and if everything works, like washers, wipers, horn, lights, hazards etc, then there is no reason why it should fail lol...

Pricey switches!

Dont suppose they're the 'savage' ones are they?

Think they're brushed stainless or something

Maybe not though :(
