[1987_ParkLane]

Well tonight I decided to set the bonnet alignment, first I
replaced the unf fixing studs on the bonnet hinges with
some mate bolts, I had to grind off the stud heads then fit
the new mate bolts and tack them in place. I replaced them
as 1 of the threads had stripped, also the front is quite heavy
and the mate bolt/nuts will hold more firmly.. Also noticed that
the gas struts were pulling the bonnet too close to the 'A' panels,
so I had to move the front more forward to compensate.
alls fine now .

been out tonight, now the Rat has got some eyes!!!
just got to tidy up the wiring..



also cut out the holes for the gauges on the dash and temp fitted the speedo
just needs painting now..

So the plate is bolted to the tips of the fangs.

Im sure your skills would make it look amazing, but i only have MS paint lol

Liking the idea of teeth if you go ahead with it, reckon it would be a nice touch for them to be slightly dished too.

Well it's taken me 3 days on and off but i've finally finished reading the thread so far, and i must say it looks absolutely awesome, just awesome. Will be keeping a close eye on this thread to see when it's all finished.

Given me lots of inspiration to start myself a project, now all i need is to get myself a mini (not gonna start messing around with my current 04 plate cooper) learn how to weld and paint and then away i go, and i'll probably duff it up many times along the way but thats how we learn . Should be fun.

But i have to congratulate you on a job incredibly well done so far, when i started reading this thread i had no idea it was 111 pages long and how much hard work and time you would be putting into "the Rat".
