well been uploading the vids to photobucket...
found a few probs while trying to start the motor !
found that the dizzi drive had previously been fitted
180 degrees out !! and I had some how set the rockers
with a .80mm gap Doh!!!!!
After a bit of messing finally got Ratty running !!!!! Yipee!!!
The he sounds quite good !!!

no just timing adjustment, and no choke,
i think i'd removed the pump fuse aswell as i'd flooded
it earlier, so it was running on what was in the carb, the
music was from next door it was loud today LOL. it's
normally me with music booming but my
boom box is at work plus that was the first propper run !!!!
had it running for a good 20 mins later on. Heaven !!

fitted both door glasses now, sorted out the horn and fitted a new throttle
cable. drove the min in and out of the garage LOL..

not booked yet, still got a few bit to sort out, boot lock is not strong enough, headlights
to fit, dash to mount, waiting for some bit from Minispares to come..

Well tonight I decided to set the bonnet alignment, first I
replaced the unf fixing studs on the bonnet hinges with
some mate bolts, I had to grind off the stud heads then fit
the new m 8 bolts and tack them in place. I replaced them
as 1 of the threads had stripped, also the front is quite heavy
and the m 8 bolt/nuts will hold more firmly.. Also noticed that
the gas struts were pulling the bonnet too close to the 'A' panels,
so I had to move the front more forward to compensate.
alls fine now .
