yesterday fitted the new wiper gear and sorted out the wiper, cleaned up,sprayed
and re-fitted. hopefully i'll fit the screen this afto then i can try out the wiper to
see what the sweep is like.. May also fit the rear window then only the doors to sort
out.. rally style or standard , not decided, may go standard for now and decide later.
might do a small vid of the wiper in action..

Mr Freddy - I have not been on the forum for some time and spent quite a few hours over the weekend ready all 102 pages. WOW. Hats off buddy. This is a cracking mini. Your time and patience knows no bounds. Your persistence with fit and finish is exemplary. The engineering and ingenuity of fabrication with the flip front shows that 'off the self' solutions are not the only possible route and certainly not necessary the best!

This project just proves that 'cheque book' builds are not required to make a good car. I know you are always saying about funds being limited and cannot begin to imagine what you would create if those funds allowed.

Your work is an inspiration to others.

Good luck with the rest of the build and keep up the posts.

James

popped in the garage tonight and heard the wiper motor going ;) ,
the wire had somehow made contact with the spare battery 'ooops'
noticed that the wiper wasn't moving even though the motor was working..
took the cover off the wiper motor and the cable had come apart from the flange,
luckily the cable only screws in, so re-fitted then crimped the flange to secure the cable
in place. now ok 'phew!!!' could see £ signs LOL ;)
Also started to rewire the bulkhead and engine bay.

Hi,
Like "shellspeed", it has been a while since I viewed this thread and I have just spent about 1.5 hours looking through what I have not seen.
This is truly incredible, your attention to detail is remarkable.
You are obviously a very, very skilled fabricator and craftsman and it shows in your brilliant work on this mini.
Its amazing to look at the picture of the car on page 1 and then on this page.
You have truly bought it back to life.
The innovitive engineering, unique paint scheme and all of the custom touches all go to show the time and effort put into this car.
If I can make my project mini even half as good as this I will condsider it a job well done.
This has been a complete pleasure to watch this project unfold, and no doubt will continue that way.
No matter what anyone says, this car is awsome!!!
Keep up the superb work, your gonna have one mint ride.
Best regards, John.

been out for a bit tonight, re-taped part of the loom with fabric loom
tape, and fitted the fuse box.
last night ordered my new plates, black aluminium back plate with polished
edges and raised rivetted white lettering, £37.95 a pair, from 'Framptons'
