Oh yeah ive read all the stuff :P

Ive come to the conclusion that with an MLS, that most have now I presume, they will be fine :D

My sisters mgf gasket had been done just before we bought it, 1.8 k series.
That overheated when she had it due to lack of coolant ( had a small leak and was quite neglected) but the replaced headgasket never went and it overheated more than once lol

I'd only buy one if I could change the HG myself, would get expensive otherwise.

My local scrappy is full of K series rovers, no prizes for guessing why they are there as there wasn't a diesel one in sight!

I know a chap who used to buy ones with blown gaskets and sell them after hed changed them
Any pointers I'd get off him :)

I like them but I dont know why!!!
My current mg rover love is the 200 BRM, that will have to wait though, insurance wise :P

170k on the original engine - done 4k and the oil level hasn't budged. Can't do that with an A series!

MK2 = expensive insurance. They're in a high group for some reason, even the boring drivers. I pay twice as much as I did with a mini

Oh yeh I forgot about my Triumph although its not on the road. I had a 1958 Triumph T20 Tiger Cub as an 18th birthday present. Its still waiting to be done.
