And this is the other current 'toy' - a 1978 ex-military Series 3 Lightweight Land Rover, currently undergoing a full re-build and now fitted with a 3.9 litre fuel-injected V8 lump...

Previous toys have included a Range Rover Classic, Series 2 and Series 3 Land Rovers and two Westfields - this was my second one, fitted with a lovely little 900cc Honda Fireblade engine (the whole car weighed 420kg unladen), which I built in 2006:

never seen one of those derondas before - looks awesome!
It is though the word I use for it when I get out is Phenomenal
Imagine a Seven with a V8 in it instead of the usual 4 cylinder jobby.... Well that's what appears (the green Westfield) in this clip taken at Castle Combe with Alistair Courtney driving a 1.8tubo Deronda.... http://youtu.be/ziO42CAtCIE?t=1m20s
You might like to make a rough note of the lap times too and bear in mind the track is a bit damp in this video
Like I say it is a phenomenal car. but for road use the Midas is better suited to slow traffic
