Here's mine, guzzles a lot but until the Mini came along, I was in love with it.

Used to be my daily driver but £150-£200 per week fuel bill was bankrupting me.

Now I have a 1.3 Yaris SR and the '94 Spi which is being done up.

Somehow I thought the Mini might be cheaper to do up

Boy I was wrong :withstupid:

Decided i wanted a posh, comfy car instead of le pug'
2L TDI, 1/2 leather, alacantra interior. body work in ace condition and lovely to cruse about in.
My usual attire is a suit, blue tooth and sunglasses even if its dark outside.

It took us around a year to find a late GSI saloon that was low mileage and still factory original.
The last 500 facelift GSI's were given extra goodies such as xenon headlights, bigger brakes ,a better recaro interior that was all electric and the 2.6 v6 engine.
our's is number 145 of 230 saloons given to MSD ( Motorsport developments ) as part of the last run in 2002

I think I have updated this thread 3 times now - Out with the Alfa 147. Out with the a3 TS Quattro :goaway: .

In with the 318 touring. It has been to the moon and back regarding (almost 200,000 miles). Has been well looked after in early life! Not so well by its more recent owners. But we are getting there, almost all the niggles fixed.

Had a respray on the bonnet, wings and tail gate, before the summer (not in my ownership), which is great had they not sprayed directly over the rust!

Good car though. A bit under powered at a 118 BHP, but pretty good on the petrol (37 mpg)

Winter should be fun, though I do have spanking set of studded tyres to go on!

Here she is in all her glory!

Oh yeah it is the most oddly specced car, you will find! Absolutely no optional extras! No buttons on steering wheel, no electric windows in the rear! basically nothing! Except the M packet. SPorts seats bumpers, spot lights.....All show and no go! But we love her!
