I'm not sure about the ek. Might just fall out side the 1990 cut off date.. but i'll let matt confirm this

And no worries about your ages I don't think.

i'm really up for this, is there any kind of age restrictions? i'll be 20 by then so i'm sure i'll have nothing to worry about. Also i have a few friends liking the sound of it, what kind of car ages are aloud to come? one will have a civic ek and the other has a porsche 944?
and it'll be my first drive abroad, at a slow pace how long should it take?
cheers giacomo :)
Hopefully the completed Ritz will be going complete with 998 turbo engine!

youll be fine at 20 as ministar says i did the run 1st when i was 19 and again when i was 20 the general rule for cars is any model of car that was in production pre 1990 so any classic mini, 205s mk1 but not mk6 golf etc etc hope that helps :) if you need more info pm either myself or thematt or another of the retrorun team or visit retrorun.co.uk
Mike
ahhh i think the ek was 96-98 :/ i'll have to find out for deff! and i'll be fine then at 20, just reckon i'll take it nice and slow and not rag the car all the way there lol
It's doing well, the welding was completed yesterday, got it booked for spray and most major parts are ready to bolt on!
will it be at bingley? be nice to have a look if it is :)

944 is certainly welcome, the EK, I'm afraid that falls out of the retro category.
20 is fine, the main age restriction is 18 for the Belgian driving bit. We will be breaking down into small groups and convoying, so you can join a group of Minis and go at a slower pace if that suits you. The roads there are pretty easy and it's easy to read up on the requirements etc. of travelling abroad.
Just got back from a trip to Belgium, so I am putting some more time into the run info this weekend.
