i was looking into my car today, it has been written off and was trying to work out the value of it so i can get more back from my insurance. it turns out there is only 370 licensed flame racings left in the world like mine :)

It's either a Racing green or Flame red.

And that website is very inaccurate.

flame red and i can believe it, i can only find 3 on the internet for sale so might not be 100% accurate but it is rare :)

I had a racing flame red was lovely but had been modified. Unfortunately i doubt there will be may totally original racing flames. Does yours still have the steel wheels and hub caps?

not the hub caps but has the steels on there just been tidied up and i still have the origional exhaust and air filter and also the floors and sills are all orgional, the only new bit was the front end so it is nearly all orgional including the interior, steering wheel gear knob etc is orgional :)

gotta love steelys :), only £1100, it isnt mint but has no rust other than a bubble on each of the rear archesand the front end has been resprayed as it was replaced, the paint is a bit flat and not a very good job but is better than rust etc, it is a catorgry b write off so completely destroyed :(

the exhaust and air box isnt on the car as i have changed them but i still have them and can be put back on if i needed to :)

Someone, somewhere will want a totally original one (cough me). Its up to you if you want to put those parts back on..wont make much difference to be honest

Like Craig said, it's either Mini Flame or Mini Racing, not Racing Flame. The confusion probably lies with how the DVLA print the logbooks.

I had a second release Flame which I bought new on 1st August 1990. I loved it :D

1989 Mini Racing's were only originally done in BRG, my guess is its either a Mini Flame 1989 - 1000 made, or a Mini Flame Red 1990- 2500 made for UK

Either way nice cars but unfortunately not worth as much as they should be
