Whenever i need new electrical parts for my mini i try and go for lucas etc You cant always seem to get a good make and sometimes can only find the likes of Intermotor parts.

When I had my first mini years ago i had lots of trouble with Intermotor parts failing after a few hundred miles.

What are your thoughts and experience with them these days?

Dont really experience any issues with them in comparison to others. We use alot of motorfactor type parts at work, couldnt say one brand was any better than others.

I work in a motorfactors, never had any trouble with Intermotor. There are cheap makes that we supply and a good chance quite a few other places sell that i would never ever touch. But people now want cheap parts to keep costs down but they tend to go wrong very quicky.

I own a parts and accessories shop and can quite honestly say that I have no problem with Intermotor. The old adage of buy Lucas rotor arms, caps etc to avoid problems, simply does not apply anymore, in fact I avoid Lucas electrical parts. Not only are they more expensive, they are not like the Lucas of old, in many cases the casting marks on Lucas parts are the same as intermotor, CI, etc. Meaning they probably come from the same source.
