Can we have pics automatically resized down to forum friendly file size for direct uploading from source (like our phones or computers)?
Other forums I frequent do this no need to do a resize on each pic prior to uploading. The server handles is automatically. Saves storage space on server and makes it much easier for users.

All, with regards to using Imgur, its free so set up an account / register then load your pictures onto the platform as you need to.
Then select the picture you would like to post on here.
This will bring up the selected picture in a new box with different links codes to the far right.
HTML (website / blogs)
Select BBCode (message boards and forums) and hit copy. Now you can post directly onto your thread / comment on TMF

Hi I’ve just setup a Flickr account but still can’t upload ? Any tips
Kind regards Lee
Ow and I’m on an iPhone if that makes a difference
Although I have used photobucket in the past it seems I am unable to do so now. If I try to upload an image it tells me that I am not aloud to use that extension.
I then started a imgur account as advised by another user and put in the BB code but that got the same reply.
I will have a word with our resident IT guru to see if he can shed some light on this.
Photobucket just turned into a money grabbing machine that affected multiple forums including ours. Deathrow spent a lot of time trying to save various threads, builds etc after we all got hammered.
As for Imgur, i'm not sure whats wrong there but i don't have any problem. As to Flickr i did not find that user friendly hence why i went for Imgur instead.
When we started having similar issues on a classic motocycle forum, with hosting sites cutting access etc, we implemented a script to fetch all linked images and copy a version to the local forum server, downsampling the image to something reasonable. So now all posted images, whether from a linked address originally or not, are stored on the local server and will never disappear from external changes.

If we click on the link it shows but if you have used the BBC (message boards and forums) the picture should show without having to open a link.
