I'm not gonna teach you to suck eggs here as you will know this anyway but first drive with anything like this is just a buzz! :D

After that you need someone in the car with a pen and paper to write down all they can hear and feel and try you're best to sort it, hard to do on your own as you need to worry about everything else like driving the dam thing

After that drive guess what...more paperwork, so be patient, mine aint ready but it works and I've driven it here and abroad twice but still needs work so be patient as its just a long winded troubleshooting stage...

You'll get there as its looking good at the mo, good work

Thanks Kam that does help :) It was a realy big buzz I had a huge smile on my face all night and then sudanly all the money became worth spending

I just won't to get it on the road and get some road miles on it and do as you say look for faults witch there will be and lots of them I'm gessing
I all ready now of two the rear shocks are dead and are causing the back to rub when cornering so I am ordering gaz shocks next week also the wheels are to close to the arch so I am going to use smaller spacers to bring them in abit

I am also going to sort out the paper work this week to get it road legal

But apart from the faults I said I could not hear any nocks but I'm gessing they will apear

Also don't now if any one will now but how far out would my clocks be I'm using an s9b gear biz and 13" wheels

The knocks buzz rattles and squeaks are there its just with all the excitement you'll be blind to them, as you get used to it (road miles) you'll know where to look/listen

For your speedo, I did it the mate in the pax seat with iphone speed app against sat nav speed kinda way, useless test really :teehee:

Then found some roads and he drove alongside me at vary speeds checking speed/rpms in various gears with walkie talkies so I knew where I stood in the real world - but that's between you and me as I won't mention that on a public forum :whistling:

I'm sure someone like speedycables can calibrate something but mine wasn't that far out so never did find out what to do just incase it wasn't

F*****g brilliant build!! And a lovely looking mini you have here  The second video shows v-tec yo!7

But just to be on the safe side, i'd tell your mate not to record your speedo whilst driving, the law have had an increase of speeding fines given to people who have recorded a speed run and posted it on youtube. All they need to have is your reg. number and evidence and you're done for!

Serious note over, i think a 0-60 video is needed :whistling: ;D haha

This might help with your speedo problem http://www.miata.net...e/tirecalc.html , just type in what size wheels the engine ran on before then change it to your new size and it calculates how far out your speedo will be :) i have no idea how correct it is tho, also on the subject of wipers if you've got MPI / SPI arms with the crook type connector you can fit 11" aero blades from the rear of a Landrover Defender which i must say are 1000 times better than the standard mini ones :)

thanks for that i will try and do a few videos this week i will keep the speedo out of it it gets to 60 very fast so it might be a short video lmao

This might help with your speedo problem http://www.miata.net...e/tirecalc.html , just type in what size wheels the engine ran on before then change it to your new size and it calculates how far out your speedo will be :) i have no idea how correct it is tho, also on the subject of wipers if you've got MPI / SPI arms with the crook type connector you can fit 11" aero blades from the rear of a Landrover Defender which i must say are 1000 times better than the standard mini ones :)

that did help allot i looked on there and i also used a speedo app on my phone and my speedo is about 10mph out

I envy you. Congratulations Johny, only one thing left to do now :)
