only a small update seems i am online i have not got allot to show i have spent all this week sorting my wheels out. Well i had to do them some time :ohno: so i have 7x13 superlights and as they where they looked fit for the bin flat black chipped and curbed to death well i was only 17 when i had these wheels lmao i did bounce of a few curbs :shy: so i thout i would strip them back and see how bad they relay are. So last Sunday i plastered paint stripper all over them and left them untill monday i came back monday and it had not done allot this is what they where like

Posted Image
i got to work with a blunt screw driver and started scrapeing all the paint off and it took ages and ages about two hours in and this is as far as i had got not verry
Posted Image
Then a good idea poped into my head i used cellulose thinners on a rag and that got most of it off a treat. all tho i did have a bad head after :X
Posted Image
After geting all the paint off it was time to clean them up i decided polished rim was the order of the day so down to a local garage to have the tyres removed and deposed of. by the way they was not happy that it took them over an houre to get them off lmao dam mini wheels.
this is what the rim looked like
Posted Image

i then bolted the wheel to the car and run it in 4th gear tick over when i cleaned the rims up using wet and dry sand paper and plenty of soap this is dangerous so don't try this at home

Posted Image

the end result after a small amount of polish I also cleaned the curb marks out with a file as the wheel was spinning
Posted Image

Then what to do with the center ?? seems as i had spare blue left i decided to coloure code the centers :D
I am realy pleased with this they look like new
Posted Image

Also i got a nice set of Yokohama slicks to go on i should get them fitted next weekend

Good effort Johny

Those wheels will certainly finish off the look of the car, throughout the whole thread i've been looking at the wheels thinking they could do with a touch up

You managed to sort out insurance yet? I had a look the other day and gocompare (other comparison sites are available) came back with absolutely nothing....... >_<

thanks Kieran the wheels where always going to be one of the last things. Well I was going to but new but I cannot bring my self to spend more money at the moment

With insurance I did one quote for my dad with me as a named driver it was £230 for the year but I could not go on the policy as I am under 25 i have not tried any more at the moment I may have a look this weekend

hi the paint i used is 2k base coat and lacquer its very easy to do the paint is just like a coloured primer it drys mat then you apply the lacquer around 20 minits after depending on the weather and that gives you the shine hope this helps

As you can see i also got the windscreens fitted in the week buy a friend of a friend who used to work for auto glass he made it look so easy and i didnt have to do any work lmao so i am happy :)
Posted Image

I also got the bonnet back on sorry for all the piks i just cant stop taking them

Also Kam i am pleased to say the stickers are gone :) but i only removed them after this pick

just wateing for a few parts to come through of Dan and then its nearly ready for Mot time

This last bit is abuit nauty but my mate has trade plates and he insured me that it will cover every thing so i had to have a cheeky test drive around the block and i will say i have never drove any thing like this in my life FAST is no word to describe it its just non stop power and vtec Evan works witch surprised me lmao
I am also pleased to it drives tidey hardly any torque steer it didn't wont to change lanes but it did spin up abit but it was very wet out there last night.

Also my tracking is out very bad i have rack extenders made up witch i am going to fit today if this snow decides to do one but I was surprised how well it drove with the wheel aliment so far out

two short videos of how it went i did drop the box on the second video but i hit 2nd instead of 4th my bad

Posted Image

this is the better video
