Dizzy cap is ok I have had that off we are thinking it could be the crank position sensor wich by the looks of thinks gives the pulse for the injectors if this was packing in it could have caused the bad running and then it to compleatly stop :( they do pop very loud and that jap can dont help lmao

Problem is now solved on the b16a1 the cps sensor witch is crank position sensor is located inside the dizzy this had all corroded must have always been like this the engine was running ruff from the start any way I striped the distributor down and cleaned out any rust and corrosion and it starts first time and runs beautiful happy ones again

Also I has a quick test drive what a machine It realy did not hit me how much power this thing has and I still have not go. Over 4000 rpm lmao

A few of my neighbors where asking where is world war 3 going on and some of them said where are the kids with the bangers lmao
any way it came to saturated morning ant i was thinking hard about why it was doing this mabie lack of fuel so i put another £15 in the tank just so i now its getting a good supply terns out it wont go at all i checked every thing timing got a new set of plugs map sensor reading did every test i could on the ecu side of things still nothing then Dave told me about the cps sensor witch is inside the dizzy i took the dizzy apart to find it was wet inside rusty and it looked abit like scrap i used easy start to clean it out then i sanded all the connections sown to clean metal i put it all together and she started first time and ran beautiful
Inside the dizzy this pick don't relay do it justis

at least you found the problem!

i had a horrible engine knocking noise coming from mine, it was getting worse and worse.
it turned out to be a very loose spark plug. problem solved!

A 3 cylinder honda engine lmao that's good it was some thing simple for you I don't mind the simple problems. My engine kind of never ran perfect from the start then when it packed In I could not find the problem as I thout the dizzy was ok I thout I had a problem in loom so i checked every thing and the other bit that tricked me was it had a realy good spark. But I then found out the cps sensor was inside and that was at fault

I have now wired up a mini loom so hole cars electrics now work :) well I still have a tail loom to make also I'm ditching the obp box and makeing a mini one work that obp box is just crap and is flexing way to bad

didnt welding those strips stiffen it up? I had to put more strips on the top of the 3mm plate its bolted too in order to stiffen it up. its pretty good now.

Welding those stripes stiffernd up the pedal but when I pushed the pedal down under preshure the cylinders would have flex in them they would move up basically the frame was twisting so I got few up with it and riped it all back out I not done what I should have don in the first place and modefied a mini pedal box and the floor pan so they now work together

Any way my New Years resolution is to have my mini ready for the road to do a few shows in the summer I have done allot of work other Christmas so I have a big update to do

hi all i have a nice update to do i have been working hard over christmas to get most of the bits done and get this car on the road for the nice weather so plenty of time as we never have any nice weather lmao

any way to start of i wanted to sort my pedal box out as the obp box was flexing under load i had enough of it and its problems so i pulled the hole lot out and tried to refit a mini pedal box that was a fail as the mini tec right hand drive kit was in the way but i had gon to far to turn back so i started off with my good friend mr angle grinder and cut a square out well its not very square in this pick

Posted Image

So i had a second attempt to fit the pedal box my idea was to lower the floor around the steering rack so that the pedals go into the floor
attempt number to and we have lift off it fits :shifty:

Posted Image

i welded the pieced that i made into the floor i dont have a pick of it finished sorry as my hands are always dirty and a white phone dont mix lmao
i tried fitting the obp master cylinder and punny enough it just droped in over the original bolts :proud:
Posted Image
i got it all plumed in and it works the pedal is a bit height so i am going to adjust the length of the rod some time to lower the pedal i have tried to fit a break master cylinder and i just need to plum the cluch feed in different o itt misses the break master cylinder i need to order a new one so i will update on that later on

I then decided to start in the wiring i opened a mini loom up and took what was not needed out for example oil preshure, altinator, temp, clocks,
I tested it all on the floor then fitted it all to the car what a night mare but i did get it all working then then lights ect are all back in i will do a video of it all working i wired it all into the honda clocks and i evan have stuff like a boot or door open light and a hand break light what a posh mini
Posted Image
I also got these there nice and loud so people will hear me from a mile away
Posted Image
As the weather was starting to warm up abit i then set about finishing the body work i had brand new a panels sitting in the corner for months just never got around to fitting them so i choped the old ones off to find the pasinger one full of filler any way :o who would do such a thing lmao

Posted Image
For a change the A panel fitted quite nice and it was a nice job to do so i was happy with that
finished product
Posted Image
I alsp bonded a plate onto it to hold the wing on i used tigar seal but it was an epic fail and fell off at the first sight of stress so i ended up welding them on i will get some picks up on my next post this was it bonded on any way
Posted Image

So then it was the big job of sanding the rest of the paint oh what fun it took me and a few mates a full week of sanding evan with the sander
but it was a good job done

boot is not quite finished there

Posted Image
the roof took ages and ages what a job
Posted Image

There where a few dents in it i tried my best to fill them out but they will proberly still be visible but at the end of the day im no body shop man and this car has had a hard life as long as it looks of i will be happy as its only a toy not a show car
Posted Image

I also bort a honda in the new year for scrap with a b16a2 engine a made a nice profit on it so that boosed up some money to spend on the mini any way i stole this off it and it fitted in the holes that where in the bonnet for the mini badge :D
Posted Image

I got some etch primer in ready to give it a first lick of paint it was quite cheap as well

Posted Image

all back to the bare bones she was ready for some paint :proud:
Posted Image
Posted Image
all masked up Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
and from behind looking good now
Posted Image
I did all the priming and body prep and my dad is going to do the top coat as he is a much better painter than me :shy: but practice makes perfect quick pick of me doing inside the doors
Posted Image
Posted Image

Then a few coats of primer later and its all one colour again O_O
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

no more body picks for now as we are nee deep in snow and its gon far to cold to put any more paint on but i have fitted the boot back on filled a few more little dents and flatted it ready for gray primer then i can paint the roof and then finely the car hopefully the snow will be gone soon and it will warm up abit but i have came to a stand still now

i got this for a barging of £50 delivered im not going to fit it untill the car is on the road as i wont to now the engine runs fine first

I will go play in the snow Kieran think I deserve a few days off :). Only problem is my car is like a snow plow but some one has to clear the roads .

Thanks Paul that is a good question I don't now realy as I have no carpet but I do now that when the cluch pedal is down at its furthest point it does not touch the floor and I also stil have cluch over throw so I think it should be ok

The worst case is that I may have to cut a square out of the carpet
