With l2b coming up fast I decided to drop my 1330 back in my red mini...thought I had sorted the oil leak from the timing cover...
Dropped in it and got it running and I look underneath.....puddle of oil.
Only one last thing it could be which is the half moon rubber seal between box and block. Had to decide weather to leave it and just take some top up and crack on with the van. Decided just to take it out and pull the engine to pieces and change every gasket in sight and I also painted the engine as I never painted it when I built the engine 3000 miles ago.
Started by pulling engine back out only took me 27 minutes :)
Started to strip it down

Gearbox and block separated

Bit if gearbox porn for you guys

Partly built back up

Degreaserd and painted

Reason why I'm posting this on here is because this engine will more than likely end up in the van if I don't have the time/money to rebuild the 998 before August

First fitment fitted really badly and all heritage panels to...

And finally she fitted :)

Also I know this inner wing is missing the vent slates I have the correct bit to weld in. Got them dirt cheap so couldn't say no
Thanks

I had trouble with my heritage inner wing too. It was too tall in the flitch area so there was an inch gap between the floor and where it folds round under the floor so i had to cut and shut it to fit.
Glad it fitted in the end for you, looks good!
