Little update today spot welder came yesterday. So today done a few test pieces to get it set up correctly. Once I had to all done I removed this bracket from the old heel board and used the spot welder to weld it to my new heel board. I've absolutly no idea what the bracket is for but it came off my old heel board so is going onto the new one lol and gave me a chance to do the first bit of welding on the van.

Trial fitted a rear arch to see what it fitted like it will need some fetteling to both load bed and arch but should fit snugly once done

Did you do a tear test on your test pieces?

I tried to tear it and I couldnt. Even put it in the vice and used mole grips on the other piece and just couldn't get it to tear apart only bend the 2 peices of metal

Looking good.

I like the look of the spot welder option,

Is it single phase

Well today I done sweet F all. Didn't get chance to go to my unit today :( and I can't even blame it on it being Valentine's Day as I'm now a single Pringle.

But tomorrow I'll be up early and down the unit all day and nothing to distract me unless Megan fox turns up then sorry the van won't be getting done

But tomorrow I want the load bed out the van. So I can then trial fit the load bed and arches ect and see how they fit

Well as I said yesterday I wanted the load bed out.... So it came out :) I removed it all cleaned it all up and ready for the load bed to be Alligned. So got the shell up and onto the load bed/jig now with the load bed on the rear end I could see how the badly bent door frame has altered the shell its moved bulkhead back 10mm So tomorrow I'm going to attempt to repair/pull out the bent door frame and hopefully pull the shell back Into shape if not the door aperture may need some force to straighten out

Haha first time I'm caught my self with the grinder in 5 years no doubt won't be my last. Weirdly it didn't bleed at all.

Thanks my heritage floor should be here this week just waiting for delivery of it. But am going to sort door aperture out first before any of that gets fully welded in.
