I'm enjoying the rebuild. Very clean, a lot of care.

Hi,

looking great, but why the tie wraps, do the seals have to be stuck on before fitting??

Graham

i'm using an after market seal set and they aren't the best of fits, the seals wouldn't stay on the two access plates so we just used some silicone sealer to help make a better seal.

i started re-assembling my HS4 carb today, this morning me and my dad drove to mini spares midlands and picked up a new needle and some gaskets. we also collected my new pancake filter.

i'll post some pics up tomorrow as i haven't put the carb back together yet as i made a last minuet decision to paint the dash pot gold .

i was looking around to day and i really like sticker bombing, my car is too original to sticker bomb the exterior or interior but i think you will like what i'm thinking of doing

hopefully i'll see some of you at Bingley on the 29th

I think you might mean a 'red jet conversion', min-its do them.

Very nice, like the colours. Is the silver just hammerite silver??

no it's silver alloy wheel paint, it gives a lovely finish...the gold is hammerite though
