mot has been set back a few weeks and i'm itching to get on the road i have my theory test in two weeks tuesday so fingers crossed

I like the idea of the updated head etc. I am puttin a 12g202 head on mine. From what I have read they are nearly as good as the 12g295 . The valves aren't quite as big but they're not far off. From what my dad says they were a common mod to do when he was a 'lad' . Obviously the 12g295 head would be a lot older and possibly a bit more prone to cracking. I dunno. Also the 12g202 will probably be cheaper. This was what I read once.. Lol.. I'm probably wrong.

Just having a look on eBay and I came across this 290753153479 and thought of you. Lol. It's a stage 3 998 cylinder head.

hi joe, thanks for that but i'll pass, me and my dad are going to go to torronies scrap yard in Birmingham at some point next week so i'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a rusty old cooper or a 1275 metro to dissect deided i'm buying a ram pipe and sock filter tonight though

that's some bad rust there mate, when you replace the panels, i'd weld a plate over the new subby mount holes and onto the back of the subby, that way you'd be sandwiching the subby to the bulkhead and it doesn't mater if the holes have rusted out bigger...just make sure you cut out/treat the rust first so you don't trap rust in the gaps

Love the fact that you kept the St.Chris, my grandad gave me one he's put on every motorbike hes had since the 70's and now hes given it to me for my mini although mine will go on the dash,
question: What carpet set did you buy?
