speakers in situ
with covers on
grill modified for spot lights to bolt through the gap between the bottom 2nd and 3rd runner
barley noticeable...perfect

fitted the rear carpet and then we fitted my four component speakers under the rear seat and wired in my USB radio...very happy with the sound quality and loudness, we only turned it up to a third volume and we could barley hear each other speaking........sweeeeet
i'll get a bit of carpet this week and wrap the speaker and boot board
we're going back in the garage now to fit my grill and spots

fitted the spot lamps through the grill although we couldn't wire them up fully as we didn't have a 12v relay

Rhys, I know this was a while ago, but when you painted your engine, what paint did you use? and what prep did you do?
hi noah, i used box standard gold hammerite brush paint and silver alloy wheel paint for everything else...wire brush, degrease, truck wash and an air line over to get the moisture off then a few coats of paint, comes up a treat

i still need to get a few finishing bits and pieces:
-standard dash switch for my spots
-thirty pin stripes (already have the three decals)
-rear mud flaps
-a black hand brake gator as the exposed handbrake lets the interior down imo
-new number plates
-stone guards for the head lamps and spots (i might make them myself as i cant find any to fit my spots )
-maybe a 'mini' boot badge but undecided yet as they were originally fitted to thirties but i do like the smoother look at the moment
-oh, and a cigarette lighter thing for my nav sat

i wrapped my boot board
it really finishes off the boot area nicely
then i wrapped my newly cut speaker board
cut the holes for the speakers out
fitted the speakers and the covers
wired them back up a fitted the board (forgot to take pic) and it looks great against the red carpet when i tested my speakers though, i found that my two middle 5.25" speakers aren't working after a diagnosis with my tester, i found that my ebay purchased wire is faulty (the other two had proper automotive wire with them and they work fine) there is power to them but the negatives are both bust

every part of the interior is original bar the new carpets as the old ones were damp, torn and filthy
note my very sophisticated safety device i absolutely love this interior, best one ever factory fitted to a mini if you ask me
nice mean looking photo
whilst i was sat in the drivers seat, for the first time in 11 months, i messed around with my radio settings (inbetween making engine noises and pretending i was screaming through a rally stage ) i tried adjusting the balance of my speakers as the two middle ones are wired as fronts but they still just hum when i turn them up so i'm going to have to get some proper automotive speaker wire from somewhere...ebay, here i come (i'll never learn )
comments welcome
