A couple more days and it's done...what tires are those?

I also like the cobra!

The Cobra is a ERA, Holman @ Moody 427 side oiler.

This doesn't make it any more clear to me, but sounds good, I do understand the 427 part, and that's like the opposite of what you're building now...

Yesterday I didn't have a full day to work on the car but still got allot done. Engine water lines are run, intercooler lines run, fuel lines, pump and filter run, exhaust finished. We have a noise limit where I race and I have been told the Hayabusy is quite loud, even with the turbo. So I'm starting out with two cheap glass packs and if that isn't quiet enough then I'll go to something else. I welded a flange on the turbo exit before the 1st muffler so I can unbold the whole works and change it all if needed. I also welded in some frame members to mount the seats My camera battery is dead so I'll post some pictures later.

hmm, sounds like some proper progression for one day! The noise isn't really loud, my car gets really loud inside the cabine, but that's mostly vibration, from the outside it is track proof I think. Keep up the good work and keep us updated!

Not a whole lot to show. Work has come to a stand still waiting for the radiator, peddle assembly, and fuel cell. So I started working on the body mounts.

Question for you turbo charged Hayabusa guys. What kind of fuel millage do you get and how large of a fuel tank are you using? And are you happy with that size?

Allready looks like you are going very fast with the build!

I have about 18 liter and I don't know about the mileage, but it's empty pretty fast, let's say within an hour or so, (heavy) streetuse. Track will be much faster i think

That's 4.7 US gallons. Thank you.

thats one thing i didnt like with my mini, was the constant going to the filling station. if i still had the car i would have had a larger tank made for it. my engine was a stock hayabusa and on a steady journey 70 mph i was getting 25mpg. so i would reckon that the turbo engine will like a drink of fuel :-)

car is looking awsome, it reminds me of the delivery day of my kit.

Thanks for the info. Cruising at a constant speed shouldn't make any difference with turbo or not as long as the mixture is the same.

ah you're planning on cruising at a constant speed....than please send me the turbo set up and I'll return a stock Hayabusa...No for real, you're gonna use a lot of fuel, count on pretty much the same usage as with the cobra, maybe even more. Mine is mapped so that with throtle release the injectors keep pushing fuel in the engine in order to cool the pistons some bits, the flames at the back are also pretty cool.

This is reality speaking. Your right, you won't find me crusin at 70. For the most part it will be all out. I just need to know how big a tank I need to make 25 2.5 mile laps at Oregon Raceway park.

Figure on 6 to 7MPG on the track and you'll be really close....you're going to need a big tank

I spoke with Chris at Z-Cars and I have a tank coming from them. I'll just have to hope it's big enough.

I got my aluminum radiator yesterday, my intercooler radiator and hoses should be here today so I can do some more. It's the ******* waiting on parts.
