I have seen a few low minis on here but I want to see a decked on it ar*e mini.
I know they don't handle as well as standard and I know they aren't the nicest to drive but I love em.

What is involved in doing this I have started to tub my rear arches and chop the fronts. I want to go as low as possible. What is going to catch first exhaust sump? Whats the solution has anybody gone stupidly low?
My mate has a vw camper and he has gone that low he takes cats eyes out the floor. This is what I am aiming for lol
Cheers
Shane

internal gear linkage

exhaust mods to lift exhaust as high up as you can into the tunnel once gear stick removed + skid plates welded onto exhaust

If you want to go really low you could think about raising the whole floor up

The miglia`s are as low as you can get a mini. I literally mean as low as you can go. Beyond there your looking into designing your own suspension.

Space frames can go that low.

I know they do the gear linkage internal on vauxhall conversions but how would u go about doin that with the standard a series

You can buy a kit from KAD to do it (click) or make your own set up using similar components to those pictures on their website. There's probably a few threads on here about making your own but it might take a bit of digging.

I've tubbed the rear arches on my Clubman Estate by 40MM which will get the centre of the wheels about the sill line and the floor hugging the cats eyes.
Due to the mods I've made to the load bay floor and relocating the fuel tank I'll be making my own exhaust system so clearance there shouldn't be an issue. I'm undecided on what to do about the gear linkage at the moment but I'm thinking of making new mounts and rods to keep it under the car but mounted directly to the exhaust tunnel.

i dont know which thread it was in or what it was called but ive read on hear and in a mag an article of 2 brothers with low and wide minis. they ended up putting an internal gear linkage and rooting the exhaust through under the rear seat and out in front of the wheels. and i think they filed the fins off the gearbox but this may be a figure of my imagination.

You and me both.

I was thinking about this thread today and though I'd figure out what my rough ride height would work out as. With both wheels at the height the rear's at currently I got 100MM ground clearance with about enough room to put a finger and a half between the tyres and arch.
