MPis had different doors again - they've got the internal roll bars, which is why they're so chuffin expensive :nugget:

So when were 13" wheels first used?

Was it only on certain models?

If you mean the sportspack wheels, then they were fitted from 1997 on the twin points if requested.

The only other minis i can think of that had them was the original Lamm cabriolet in 1990 and the Era turbo from 1989.

As in terms of differences between the minis apart from all thats been mentioned, the Mk2 mini came with hydrolastic suspension (with exception of commercial vehicles). 1964 was the starting date and it cut off somewhere between 1969 and 1972 depending on model. Then back to the old rubber donuts that we all love

I've have been in contact with the heritage centre, and I'm going to arrange an appointment to have a trawl through the archives...

My aim will then be to at least be able to put some dates and descriptions around the evolution of the mini..

The only thing I will not be allowed to look at is the information in the archive on the Cooper S models (MK1/2/3). This they keep underwraps to prevent the missuse of that information for the reproduction of clones.
