

Fuel Tank Breather Pipe

i took it off a few weeks ago but now i came to put the tank back in, i can't remember where the breather connects to? (to vet out the car)

normaly just goes threw a hole in the boot where the petrol pipe is for the carb type cars
but it al depends on what year your car is ( i think )

1992 mini mayfair (yes it has a carb) does it go out the bottom of the boot?

Would imagine so yes, they didnt care about emissions so much in those days!!

Hi
Took my tank out yesterday to do boot floor repairs under it and found the vent pipe broken, just checked and it's still there where it goes through the boot floor. If you look in the boot there are 2 holes close to the rear seat back panel one in front of the other, the vent pipe is routed through the one nearest to the panel the other is for the fuel pipe. Mine is a '93 city 998 so probably the same
