fair play dude on removing it from the scrappy but i would have reserved the mug for ye untill i saw what you were planning for the van!!.... don't listen to many who say its not worth it with no v5 because thats bull, there are so many things you can do with it without v5 and as bungle said without without loosing its identity (because it mightn't have 1) you can realy get creative and build a beast :D .... can't wait to see what you do with it and at the end of the day its a minivan possibly saved so how cool is that!!

basically you got the van shell for the price of a weekend out on the town so who says you didn't get value for money...

is that a suttle way of asking for a mug as well

Read back through the post as I didnt know about the Mug thing and no it wasnt lol. A beer glass engraved with a mini would go nicely though....

thanks people was yours from a scrappy to ???

danny

No, from the info gathered it as been stood and overgrown, the place had pulled it out and been to dispose off. They offered it on ebay, so i bought it. Applying for v5 as we have all the details required, not showing on the online system as been stood for a long time by the sounds of it.

The plates could have been recycled if the vehicle was in fact scrapped.

Are you basing your assumption that it wasn't scrapped on what the scrapyard told you? They've been less than honest so far!

what do you mean by recycled ??
and when ever they get an old car in they move it to one side of the scrappy with all the other old cars and arnt scrapped because before they scrap them once a new one comes in they then sell the vin plates on yes i know illegal but they do it on the sly and always seem to shift the vins very quickly

The DVLA may have issued the plate that was on your car as an age related plate on another vehicle?

They still don't sound like people to be trusted lol. I'd just wait and see what the DVLA say.
