Dave,

See http://www.minispare...sku=0&tc=1&au=1

On there there is an instructions tab, and a link from then on. You will need to create a minispares account.

They advise to re-time and adjust the mixture (I use a gunsons color tune for that). One small note, you may need to unbolt the top engine steady to make it easier to get the carb back on after if you go for a cone filter....(it makes it much easier)

It depends on the rolling road, they can cost anything from £60- £90 per hour and you tend to need 1-2 hours. You can keep the time on the rollers down to a minimum though, by making sure that all your ignition parts (plugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, points, rotor arm, coil vac pipes etc.) are all either new, or in good condition yourself beforehand. Otherwise you end up paying the guys at the rolling road £60-£90 per hour to do all that for you when your car is on the rollers!! >_<

you can tune it your self which is fine and what a lot of people do or you can send it away to a garage to tune not on a rolling road which cost me 30 quid last time i did it. i currently tune it myself but as soon as ive finished moddifying my engine im going to get it tuned on a rolling road and keep it like that as long as possible. the fact that your running on a rolling road is what makes it expensive but a good garage without a rolling road should be able to tune it to a good level using ear and test driving it.

make sure you get the twin box side exit, but you may well find the car noisier inside
by fitting after market exhausts

Yes, I have Bob's old roaring single box ! Only joking, it was an exact replacement for my old one so am very happy ....

hey charlie, its not the exhaust note its the droning in the car
the twin one is better for that
mind you i have carbon fibre front and brace bars so does make it worse i believe
my maniflow with 10" rear silencer and slighlty larger mid silencer has helped some
its only at certain revs

If its any help i managed to fit the minispares twin box rc40 with freeflow maifold on my own with nothing but some a jack, axle stands, sockets and exhaust paste. Its an easy job and mine was actually quieter but still sounds better than the standard exhaust, although the exhaust was blowing before so not really a fair comparison.
