What a worry. From memory I think the plug will go through. I thread locked mine and seemed to remeber that I could continue to turn it into the manifold - hence the thread lock. I'm away from it at the mo otherwise I'd check, sorry, hopefully someone else will know for sure.

When you say stoped, do you mean phyiscally jammed, or just won't run?
Either way, safest bet is to whip the manifold off and have a look, easy job.

Ideally you'll want to get the head skimmed as at some point it may of been over heating and warped it, and get all the valves checked for damage.. Its quite alot of work.

Regardless, it sounds like the OP should at least pull the manifold and look to see if the plug is sitting in one of the inlet ports. Perhaps they will be lucky and be able to "pluck" the part out with forceps without there being other damage.

Good news! Whipped the inlet manifold off and found the plug in the inlet port in the cyl head! What a pain it was to get out!! Managed to pull it out with double sided sticky tape on my finger, got a new plug with a head on it and also loctited it in to be doubly sure it wouldn't come out again. Would advise buying the other plug off Minispares (part no. ADP210) and not using the blanking plug without a head (Minispares part no. 5-8UNF) unless using loctite! Thanks for the replies, Matt
Good to see it was all sorted. Interesting that minispares push the allen key type blanking plug and not the ADP210
see http://www.minispare...=0&tc=1#submenu and then click on the 'this kit contains' tab. I bought the allen key type aswell! I've alerted minispares to this thread.
