I bought it originaly about 3 years ago as a project car which had been off the road for about 6 years but had a recon 1098cc engine in it.
I then learnt to work on cars on it and did a full rebuild including having it resprayed
which got it on the road just in time for brooklands at the start of this year.
I then decided that it was too slow so i built up a 1275 with 286 cam and megajolt
i got it back on the road again just in time to make it on the brands hatch to nurburgring retro run (www.retrorun.co.uk) and managed a couple of laps whilst there although i had issues with an oil leak effecting the brakes so spent half my time there working on the car.
However on the run back home from the ring we were making really good time to make the early ferry back when disaster struck and i killed the engine on a belgian motorway.
I managed to get the car recovered home using several trucks and then had the dilema of what to do next.... Until whilst browsing ebay i came across this
so i bought it and this happened
then
and thats the story so far.

been out this morning and run the fuel line iv run an 8mm line for the feed and plan to use the original mini one as the return.
Also dug out a gearbox that i got with the engine and subframe anyone know what it is? and would it be worth using instead of my current one as the starter would mount in easier and the clutch slave setup will be easier?

As for the gearbox fitting in the allspeed frame, think the problem would be finding the correct mounts.
