
Mini Exacton 10" Special Alloys, Country Of Origin?

my mate at work was insistant that he couldnt get nuts for them as they were italian made. i did however buy a set of nuts brand new off ebay a few months back so thats not true either.

And the nuts..

I was given these wheels 2 years ago because the wheel nuts were no longer available...It took me 8 months of searching but I eventually found a set of nuts. Cost me £35 and I was told they were the last original set available in the UK...Im glad you can get them again now...A lot of these wheels are being split rimmed by Force Racing I believe..

those nuts arent original, the mini special nuts were never domed on the end as they were covered with the plastic black caps, they look like cooper alloy wheel nuts to me and they must have been shaved down to enable them to be fitted to the exacton alloys or something, but as long as they fit who cares.......

If the wheel nuts you bought for £35 fit and work how were you ripped off,

the nuts in the picture are the same ones i got last year for my mk1 metro turbo alloys, i got them from some guy on ebay who lived in erdington i think, he stocked tons of usefull bits!
if the nuts really were unavailable, it wouldnt be a big job to have the nuts turned from some hex bar, drilled and tapped, and the washers made from some bar on a lathe
