hi everyone , was wondering , if there are any step by step engine rebuild guides , as i want something to mess with over winter so thought about rebuilding an engine , thanks in advance

I think the a series builder DVD by Bob Sollis is pretty good...

I cant agree more. I have this DVD and its a very interesting watch. I think its the 1380 one I have. Its give a complete guide to stripping and rebuilding.

I've got the case for the DVD, the actual DVD was brilliant until someone misplaced it :(

The Haynes manual provides quite a good guide. Its certainly enough to complete a rebuild with new shells/bearings/seals. If you prefer reading over a DVD. Plus you have the advantage of all the torque settings written down too.

If you have an ounce of mechanical skill then the haynes or workshop manual give you 95% of what you need, the other 5% is common sense. However, I agree that watching someone else do it is a great benefit.
