If their both not there, nothing to test... Thats what i was told!

That's what my initial reaction was, but when you look into the ideas that the ministry/vosa have in mot's its crazy.

Not in regards to mirrors, for a car to pass an mot it must have a drivers side mirror, and one other mirror. It doesn't matter if the additional mirror is on the passenger side door or a rear view one, as long as its one on the drivers side then one more.

Either way, this car is a trailer queen and earns no respect from me

not true a mini built in early 1960 doesnt need any wing mirrors. it can still pas an mot. i know i had one last month.

I was still kind of on the subject of the car that started the conversation. Which is clearly not an early 1960 mini

there is a rule of if its not on the car it cant be tested but this only applies to things that are not mandatory like, if you car is made after the seat belt law, you need seat belts, same with wing mirrors, etc unless your car was made before the mandatory date, abit like road tax......i know this because i have a stone chip in my window and the mot failed, so i jokingly said to the MOT man, if i take the window out would it pass? he said yes, i just have to put a note on the advisories that it has no window fitted. so 2 years running ive took my mini back with no windscreen and passed :D

Yes it was!. As for my memory something went wrong with petes car when qualifying and he started way back on the grid. Red one couldnt finish the race had an oil pressure problem and had to stop. to be honest am not so sure about the year tho, ithink it was 2006 or 2007. Sold the mini to Endaf Owens.

Seeing as "stance" on TMF means lowered a bit, I'd say it's bang on.
