Remodelled - in what way?


It was featured in Minimag, they said that the arches had been remodelled to suit the profile of 10 inch wheels rather than 13s...

Don't know if this count's?
But it has 7 inch banded wellers and is yamaha r1 powered

i was told by force racing that they cannot be split as i was looking into mine getting split! hmmm
i smell a big hairy lie!
where have these banded, does anybody know?

They've been banded, not split ;D

I don't think steel wheels can be split, But they can be cut and weld X amount of metal to widen them.

Banded... the act of cutting a steel wheel in the middle wheel well, perfectly straight, adding in a band of steel to make the rim wider and welding back together.

Splitting a wheel is when you turn the outter of a wheel down upto the edge of the wheel well, this create s a flange on which you can drill a PCD to attach a spun alloy, wider outter section.

Wellers cant be split as there is no wall to which you can create a flange on for the PCD to attach the new spun outter.
