This car has gone through complete restoration at The Real Mini Company, still a little way to go but its taking shape.

is it purposely that low, or is the suspension still requiring new parts?

Down and out is right. It's unpumped hydrolyastics. But it still looks great

Stolen off someone on here in the L2B photo thread but if I can get my mini sat like this I will be a happy chappy.

DSC00831.jpg

what brake set up you think this is running? 7.5 s's or stock drums? I want to run arch-less but I'm planning on installing 7.5 S brakes on her, (car came with a bran new setup not installed) maybe leave the stock drums?

Cooper S reverse rims were used when the 7.5" setup was introduced on the Cooper S, these cars ran without arches so using reverse rims and 7.5 disks should look like the above

this might be a stupid question but are the 10x4.5 replica wheels that you can find the same as the "real" reverse 's' wheels?  I just got back into the game last week when I brought  my "new" mini (76' 1000) and been reading/searching suspension setups to get her ready for spring ;).....just spent 4 hours reading these 209 pages!! Just looking for ideas and different looks.  so many styles and tastes, can't get enough.

Pass! I don't know, I would imagine so but I couldn't say for certain, I would try and find out the offset of the original reverse rims. Provided thats the same as the replicas as well as having the same width and dia then it will fit the same as reverse rims.

I have heard of those, I didn't realise those were the type being asked about, if its those then Ross is correct

The replica that have the massive offset for over 8.4s aren't made anymore.

Ah yeh, also, checked minispares, minisport etc, they seem to be proper replicas now, so should be the same normal offset.

Thanks guys..That's what I think I'm leaning towards. So far she's all stock but the wheels.
I have the Cooper s 7.5 disc conversion waiting to be installed as well as hi/Los with blue springs, rear camber brackets and now adj lower arms in the mail hopefully here by the weekend...

Than I can figure what wheels, def sticking with 10"'s but on the fence with style/size and/or offset.
The car is pretty clean and straight so I really don't want to cut it up (as of now). That might change tomorrow. :/

Ah yeh, also, checked minispares, minisport etc, they seem to be proper replicas now, so should be the same normal offset.
