There seems to be a lot of talk about tucking, but not a lot of talk about people just tubing their arches and going down that route, seems to me to be a much easier and simpler way to have a better stances car without going and ruining various other parts of a cars mechanical bits, I've been doing it for years on other race cars and it's very common practice. Don't know why people don't just do that. That's what my project is going to end up having when I get to that stage. All my other cars already have had it done.

No it just looks crap if you don't know how to do it properly and don't put the lips back on... You should never run without arches... That's your mistake. There is no need for stupidly big splats if your arches especially the rears are properly done.
Not sure you understand what I said there.
Running without arches should never be done? So the millions of minis released up until the 'special' shouldn't have been run?

What I am saying is that if this was tubbed at the back, it would look crap. Regardless of wether or not the lip is back on (I've never seen a tubbed mini without the lip), the reason for my opinion of it looking crap is because the arch will always be above the complete tyre, never letting the tyre tuck under it. Hence it'll never look as low or as good in my opinion, as the arch gap will always be visible unless you fit spats to the arches
