I get tyres at cost anyway so that's not really an issue for me, think these were £24 each new
The rear Arches are staying for now, I don't really want to have to be welding body work and reprinting round the arches
Fitting wider wheels would be utterly pointless as the tyres tuck under the arch now, if anything I was gonna try 3.5's instead of 4.5's

Oh right

Suits the ratty style so yeah, looks cool I think. Fair play

Fitted adjustable camber and toe brackets today
Picture doesn't really show it that much I don't think, and the suspension needs to settle

looks sick, did you get the KAD ones or the minispares ones?

Not really sure as I bought them off someone who decided not to fit them. They fit perfectly, not need to drill the holes out ect like everyone seems to have to do. They weren't the cheap looking in painted ones, I have a set of those too though

fair play, sounds like you got lucky then, if they were the minispares ones then it would have been a right arseache

I wonder if anyone has ever had their wheels reverse banded where you get them made thinner?

I don't understand how some of these Mini's cope, mine is standard height and still scrapes the exhaust on speed bumps if there's more than me in the car! Very cool all the same! :)

Not mine but always loved the look of this mini. Can't remember the owners name, i think it was Oli though.

Does anyone know what arches they are? I was thinking group 5?

They are group 5's Nick.

But does depend where you buy them from! Some places call them different things.

Mine would be terrible if it had back boxes on it, never mind speed bumps, some roads are a no no. People act like it's stupid not being able to go down roads with speed bumps and having to navigated your way down a bumpy road. Bit running a low car is something you get used to and it's easy

I'm sure it will of been done, I really want to find tyres that don't bubble out and look like massive donuts on the 10" wheels though

You should get you're self a set of 145s on it. These ones are on 4.5" S rims and would probably tuck up into the rear arches no problem.

That's what's on there already, they're still huge really. A full profile tyre still being 145/80

Here is a pic I snapped last night of the Estate and Trabi. I am trying to get the wife's Trabant ready for end of September. It looks like a 4x4 in this pic compared to the Estate, and to think I have already lowered this 3 inches. It's going to go another 3 or 4" soon.

Haha yeah, only problem is when you can't avoid them, for example my local cinema car park  :mmkay:
