I think i remember reading this, was it something to with a Radiator cap?

yep nursed a dieing mini throught germany belgum and france then off the ferry a dover 35miles later it stopped, whilst fiddling i tried to vent the radiator cap but it didnt it FLEW OFF and my face took the main of it due to me beening leaning over the slam panel at the time, if it wasnt for my mate tom who kept tipping water on my face in that layby on the side of the road until the ambulance arived im sure things would be alot diffrent, im ok now youd never tell
