hi, does anyone know for definite if a steering boss for a mgf will fit my 1994 mini cooper spi?

A later Mpi Mini yes but a Spi no.The later Mpi Minis have the same steering wheel as Mgf,Rover 25 and MG ZR etc.

I don't think they did; they had the same spine, but the MGF wheel is around 1" larger diameter. Certainly the airbay size is different...A later Mpi Mini yes but a Spi no.The later Mpi Minis have the same steering wheel as Mgf,Rover 25 and MG ZR etc.

Same type of wheel at least. It was my understanding that any pre mpi column is pure mini, where as on the mpi the mgf wheels fit. Likewise if you wanted to use one on an earlier car, you'd need to swap out the steering column too.

Are you sure the MGF air bag is different, I've had one 'in hand' and it looked identical?

The Mgf steering wheel is exactly the same as the Mpi steering wheel.
