exactley the same as me i will have to put a new underseal on as mines doen the same!
the original x-mamber was crack and bent from where the seat must have collapes onto it.... its not crash damage so i cut it off and found out the new 1 is a C**p fit!
you would be suprised how kitted out the machines are now. gprs, heated air seats, on board computers etc! i will get a pic to show you you what i mean about the finish!

i got bored at work today so had half a day

the projects going really slow at the min as im trying to get all the most expensive bits out the way first
in the mean time this job needed doing so a couple of pics to show a little more progress!

Not being picky but i though i had better mention it before you paint it, you havnt removed the bracket on the bulkhead for the engine stabilizer, it may foul the posistion of the petrol tank, i cant be sure with yours as you have a different front subframe but it is in the way on mine so off it comes.

by the way was you going to use your car purely for road use?

I will do the odd trackday and the drag wars this year hopefully but it is intended for the weekend blast and the odd trip into work, oh and i cant wait for the head to head at the traffic lights with the scooby/evo brigade!!!

Thats scary. Seing as I'm 18 though, any modifications to my mini is going to increase it just a tad.

im 23 and have 0points now so i was quoted £600 fully comp........... and as its essentially a kit car its cheaper

Does your new front end still use the original Rack mount ?? If not Id chop that off, all this extra wieght loss means more doughnuts...

I should imagine you use the original rack mount as it was designed to be used with the standard rack position but i dont mind being proved wrong!!!!!

i wish there was progress! im picking up the hubs and 4 pots too! might might order the wheeels too! need to finish off the inside then i will be trying the new front on. i assume/hope its fits with the original rack!
