:Luckely i left so much on the floor that the tunnel butted up against the frame and didnt mean a gaping hole in the floor (which isnt told on the dvd) cheers mark for sugesting to leave extra! just right although theres plenty to cut off underneath hehehe,

Dean leave about 1/4" extra all round past the angle flange so you can run a good bead of silicone in there and not squash a wodge of it like in the vid!!

Cheers

Ps ive been tying to think what those wheels remind me of??

AS fitted to the general lee!!!

im going to stip it all out to have the shell fully sprayed. im glad i put the cage in before spraying as there would have been lots of scratches! now everything is bolted and fits to shape it wont be as difficult to fit again.

how awesome............. the general lee. its a shame someone has already general lee'd a mini

what arches are you gonna run??
I suggest you fit them and cut the wing's / quarter panels etc while the kit is in to check the clearance??

your right mark.... next on shopping list are curley wide arches and bonnet. and maybe tyres as the 1's that are on are way tooo big. then im not going to spend anythin until ive got the engine

p.s whats the difference between a mk1 and mk3 bonnet (both 1 piece)

Basic bonnet difference is that a mk1 doesn't have the lip at the front to fix the top trim part for the later grilles too. :D

As ADE said the difference is in the bonnet lip but i thought of the mk1 look but if you havnt got the rear lights etc to go with it , it seems pointless, i have gone with a mk3 bonnet and front wings and bootlid, you will need the tyres on rims really to be able to check the clearance etc of the arches before you paint the shell.
What front end have you got?
I would reccomend custom minis for the fibreglass products after visiting them and looking at their range, he also does miglia arches so you could strike a deal if you were buying a bit from him (Les) and he is only down the road!!

Are you going R1 injection?

Cheers

i really want a mk1 grill so mk1 bonnet will do, besides im not trying to make it look truely mini and get every detail right. Lets be honest not that much is left mini! yeah i will be buying tyres at the same time as going to get my stuff from custom minis havent got a quote yet but going to get bonnet (will have to make my own m.o.t brakets)and boot. Does he do roof scoops?

yes mark im going injection not really sure why maybe reliability and later models

Ye im a welder fabricator by trade, me and another fella own the company. Bought it off the old chap who we have worked for and lined his pockets, now it's our turn to make some money. But it's a bit quiet at the moment, not worried though can always sell the Indy and Mini if i get short. :'( .

We mainly work in stainless steel, but do the ususl dirty mild steel and i have been know to weld ally.

fitted the gear lever. I used some really nice fasteners for the mounting of the base quite inmpressed with the finish, oh and the base also went with the front brakes for powder coat and as you can see the colour will work throughout the car now
