Picked this up about a week ago, A-series engine, using Mg 1100 running gear.

So far I have stripped the tub down and prepped it ready for primer. Hoping to get it in primer sometime this week if I have time.

Then the plans for it are:
Paint massey fergusson Tractor Red
Possibly new seats and harnesses(the seatbelts in this have rusted solid)
New wheels
Make a roof
change the front grille around abit.

Yay! Another fibreglass car. That said it looks rather scary - no seatbelts or side protection at all. They didn't care in the 70's

There's a guy who contributes to Practical Performance Car (known as "Owelly") who has one powered by a Peugeot 3-litre V6 converted to RWD with a Ford type 9 box and Capri axle. It's bonkers! :ohno:

I Plan to fit 4 Point Harnesses along with some seats that will offer better support. Side protection- not alot i can do about that.

I have heard of Owelly but not seen any pictures of his magenta.

Very nice

I love Magentas, nearly bought a red one 20 odd years ago, wish I had of done now. They look great with the MG 1100/1300 grille.

Right, Little update:

Bought a New set of Seats and Harnesses and a set of Minilights.

All primered and has had 3 coats of red paint, but i'm not happy with the finish I'm getting with my compressor in my cold garage so i'm going to try and get the car into a paint booth in the next week or so to do the final coat.

A bit of an update on this, I got offered the shell and roof from a mini-based magenta for free, so yesterday morning we set off upto southampton to collect it.

Pictures show the car and roof before it was stripped down by the previous owner. The plan is to either use the front end and roof from this on mine or to transfer the running gear from mine over to this one.

The Roof is just sat on top in this picture keeping the rain off, have been driving it around without a roof while i'm trying to source a softop. You can also just about see the new wheels on in this picture.

Decided I dont like the red, so now I have narrowed it down to a choice of the following 3 colours:

you probably did update it but there have been some problems with the forum so we had to go back to a previously saved layout which was about 3 weeks ago or something, do you know what car the straght-line speedo came out of it looks sick.

That's a difficult choice, I reckon the middle one but the top one's nice too.
