hi again everybody as my welding to body shell is well on it way i am starting to turn my attention to rebuilding all suspension parts etc to newly painted front and rear subframes, Its so long since i stripped them that i wondered if anyone had some good pictures or exploded diagram to work from to put back together hopefully showing brake pipe routes etc, also what parts should i be replacing? how do i know the rubber suspension parts are good? or should i replace them now while its so easy to do. any advice in these areas will be gratefully recieved. will be updating my complete rebuild on sunday! cheers

Dont have any exploded Diagrams, just pictures of the subframes completed..My advice is to chuck away the old rubber mounts and buy a poly bush set..£15ish..will make a difference to the way the car handles.

Sorry, the pics are old and not very detailed, but maybe they will help with the overall build.

I tend to use the Somerford mini website for exploded diagrams, have a look on there.

The somerford mini website, as mentioned, has great exploded views.if money allows, i would defo be replacing the rubber cones, and suspension knuckles on the front of the trumpets.

Dont forget to add the inner and outer dirt seals to the outsides of the thrust washers on the radius arms.

Also, check the mounting trunnions for excessive corrosion. I'd they are very bad, replace them. Although genuine ones are expensive. At least replace the trunnion rubbers.
