Fully strip down and rebuild so i know it will take the turbo and be running to the best of its ability, becuase nbow it is very rough and down on power
28/36 Weber Carb
RC40 1.75" Exhaust
LCB Manifold
Stage 3 12G295 Head
998+40 Making it a 1030cc
MG Metro Cam
X Pin Diff
Centre Oil Pickup
so hope fully that will give a nice 60 Bhp that will keep me happyfor know as i think the engine currently has like 34 or something low :L
so when i strip it down is there anything i should replace?
i will buy a full new gasket set
cam followers
not sure about the rest :/
new cam timing things, duplex?
any help would be amazing :)

Was quick (bit faster than my cooper sport) just not enough for me. Was great fun tho
seeing as ive had a slow 998 for 2 years i think the 62 bhp will be amazing :L
then when i get bored onto the turbo :)

Hmm a down draft, not many use them. Pretty sure theres some one on swm with one
yeah dont see many poeple using them,
my dad has one on his maxi and his friends used to use one on his mini so i though id give it a go :)
plus my dad has one packed away which was never used, so all i have to do is change the jets and im good

So you are going to use the turbo engine as n/a until you put the turbo on it? and are you going to lower the compression ratio for the turbo even when its n/a? It might not be all that lively if you do, but at least you can get it run in.
yeah the compression ratio will be about 9:3:1 and that is what i need for the turbo and i will run it like that without the turbo,
i will only lose about 1% throughout the range over having a cr of 10 so im not too bothered :)
