My apologies to all for appearing to forsake this thread. The reason I have not responded to those who are welcoming me to theminiforum is that I was under the gun to get to the half way point on my current book for my publisher (Cartech books). Just in case anyone asks 'no' it is not Tuning Minis Volume II. Would be nice if I could justify the cost of writing it but unfortunately making a living has to figure into the grand scheme of things somewhere along the line here. This current book production goes under the title of 'Super Tuning Holley Carbs'. Holley appear to be very supportive on this production and are being a great help.

Come to think of it this is very contrary to the reception I had many years ago at SU when I suggested doing a book which would have essentially been 'Super Tuning SU Carbs'. The SU is a great carb with a lot of 'super tuning' potential the factory never capitalized on. Unfortunately the person I made the suggestion to seemed to think that the SU engineers had produced a carb that could not be improved upon - especially by someone he saw as a motoring journalist. As a result there was no book. Shame really - those SU have an awful lot of potential as a super effective race carb.

why dont you set up a thread on here about how to modify S.U's and other things, it would be much easier than making a whole book, and, lets face it, the people who are going to read mini biased books are all here!

you could have your own little corner of the mini forum!

Because a) that would reduce sales of the yellow bible and b) I very much doubt David would be able to devote so much time to a thread like that.

Anyway, the yellow bible is basically a thread in itself. Well a locked thread.

Not to mention that David is buisiness man, why would he GIVE his knowledge away on a forum. Advise is one thing, but that kind of knowledge is very saleable. But if you are feeling generous David, then post away..lol.

i would just like to add a note to this thread.

David´s daughter Jacqueline, died on July 31st 2014 at the age of 18.

 

MT. HOLLY - Jacqueline A. "Jacque" Vizard, 18, died unexpectedly on July 31, 2014.

Miss Vizard was born Dec. 27, 1995, in San Bernardino, Calif., to David and Josephine Vizard. 

A Mass of christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont.
