Buying some mudflaps for my 1984 mayfair for the rear wheels, but im not sure which ones would fit.
Ive found two different styles on eBay, both of which say that they fit a classic mini, which one looks the best and does anyone know if these would fit???

Which one of them fits to an unmodified mini? Ive got stock black plastic arches if that helps.
Cheers, Steve.

I don't like mud flaps as people usually screw them to the body, and they trap dirt and moisture behind them which causes rust. I suppose if you have arch extensions then you could screw or rivet them to the arches rather than the body.
I'd go for mini specific ones like these http://www.minispare...id=35550&title=

Rust wise, how much differance would it make though? I wouldnt of though that it would speed up the rust, as mud would be sticking to the body anyway...

i purchased a pair awhile back and they were just plain mud flaps no logo no nothing. if you read the there feedback you will see quite a few people have hd problems with the seller. i would avoid them at all costs.

Try biddin for these even though, you haven't got a cooper it would still look nice and these are genuine http://www.ebay.co.u...=item35b63cc871
They look good, plus they're the type that screw to the arches not the body.

Yeh not worth the hassle, but it's so annoying when things like that happen

Over time it does make a difference to the rusting, dirt is trapped behind, which holds moisture, whereas when you wash the car the dirt gets cleaned off. Dirt can be hosed off, rust can't. I have experience of having to repair the effects of mud flaps, so would rather keep my car clean than fit them. But whatever floats your boat!
when you make the holes just put a bit of paint/hammerite in the hole to protect the metal
