thanks for that! i have had 3 clutches in my ZR and each time the thrust bearing has been making a noise! even changed the gearbox as we thought it could be a bearing in that! im just wondering if the blokes been using the same brand!

i saw if you were keen on the 160! its a really nice drive! the suspension, atleast for the mk1 ZR and i cant see them changing it for the facelift, was set up by Lotus!

Why didn't you tell the bloke that the clutch is faulty? That way it's sent away inspected and if it is found faulty you get a refund. Well that's how we work , don't know about ECP.

I got a refund on one clutch, then they refused to refund the one that blew into pieces, I nearly beat the bloke behind the counter with it, as they said its failed due to abuse. It's just not worth bothering with. I've had a few bits from euro car parts that have been crap, and am thinking of closing my account there.

The clutch thats fallen apart is not fit for purpose. All the models it fits will as we all know have a torque figure from the factory. The clutch should be capable of handling that and some in reserve.
I had this happen on a clutch in a 1.1 fiesta. Was changed without issues. This was caused by enthusiastic driving but the part supplier said it should be capable of handling it.

Sprayed some red plastic primer on this today, just need to flat it, then it's ready for colour. It wouldn't dry outside, so I brang it in and put it on the dinner table whilst mum was out, LOL!
